Congratulations to CEDA and the City of Lewiston for recieving a clean closeout report from the US Economic Development Agency on the $1.9M grant to construct the Southside Industrial Park.  See following notice by Christine Frei, CEDA Executive Director: 

As difficult as the Lewiston Nez Perce County Airport Southside Project has been to develop and complete, I wanted to take this opportunity to let each of you know that CEDA just received a phone call from US Dept of Commerce Economic Development Administration  Representative Stan Good who is processing the closeout grant documents for the EDA project.  Stan commented that the closeout document package was in the opinion of the EDA staff one of the best packages that they have seen!  These documents were developed by CEDA Project Administrator Kelly Dahlquist and Scott Macey with the City of Lewiston.  Thank you both!

 I’d also like to thank all the partners that contributed to this effort.  As a regional planning organization, we appreciate efforts such as this one.  All major players in this initiative, from planning, development, project design, construction, etc.. were LOCAL.  It is so important that we use the TALENT pool that we have in our region!  Although this project had many low moments, it was the will and talent of the people involved that has gotten us to this point!  We didn’t have to look to the outside (accept for financial assistance J) to get this project done.

CEDA looks forward to supporting Valley Vision and the Airport Authority’s efforts to fill the airport south side with aviation business.
