Valley Vision Seeks New Economic Development Leader

The leading economic development agency for the Lewis and Clark Valley along the Washington-Idaho border is looking for a new President/CEO to begin summer of 2018.

The public/private economic development partnership has an aggressive business recruitment, retention and expansion plan for the famed region along the Snake River first visited by the Corps of Discovery two centuries ago.  Steady growth over the past several years has readied the area for continued expansion in manufacturing, tourism and transportation industries.  With solid workforce development initiatives in place and a cooperative approach to growth and development, as well as an enviable quality of life, the LC Valley is well-positioned to be on the leading edge of the nation’s continued economic growth over the next few years.

Valley Vision is the lead economic development agency in the Lewis-Clark Valley, representing Lewiston, ID, Clarkston, WA, Nez Perce County, ID and Asotin County, WA.  The organization’s President/CEO plans, organizes, directs and coordinates all programs and initiatives, working cooperatively with federal, state, city, and county governments as well as private investors, foundations and associations.

The post is being vacated by the retirement of the current President/CEO Doug Mattoon who has overseen the organization for over 7 successful years.

The President/CEO reports to the Board of Directors of Valley Vision which includes representatives of local industry.  The organizations’ $275,000 budget and two staff members are dedicated to building economic prosperity for the entire region.
