Karl Dye to Assume Helm of Valley Vision
Lewiston native and University of Idaho graduate with 11 years of Economic Development Experience
Lewiston, ID – Karl Dye of Sandpoint, ID, has been selected as President/CEO of Valley Vision, Inc. Valley Vision, a public-private economic development partnership, is the lead economic development agency in the Lewis-Clark Valley, representing the City of Lewiston, ID, city of Clarkston, WA, Nez Perce County, ID and Asotin County, WA., and the ports of Lewiston, Clarkston and Whitman.
Dye will start work June 1, which allows for a one month overlap with Doug Mattoon prior to Mattoon’s retirement.
Dye was born in Lewiston, Idaho, and holds a B.S. in Communications/Public Relations, with a History Minor, from the University of Idaho. He was previously the Executive Director for Bonner County Economic Development Corporation, and worked as Director of Corporate Relations with Idaho PTECH. Dye also served one term as a Bonner County Commissioner.
Previous to those positions, Dye worked in marketing for Litehouse, Inc., and Caterpillar Inc. He has also served on various boards and commissions including the Idaho Economic Development Association, Inland Northwest Community Foundation, and State of Idaho Forest Practices Act Advisory Board.
